The S.K. Joshi, Chief Secretary, Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, MA&UD, M. Dana Kishore, DEO & Commissioner, GHMC along with MS. Hari Chandana, Zonal Commissioner and Associated Members of the Parks have inaugurated Theme Park for the convenience of the citizens at Madhapur on Dushera day i.e., on 18th October 2018.
While interacting with the media said India’s First Exclusive Park spread across an area of 1.3 acres with a cost of Rs. 1.1 crore and this park is just perfect for every dog’s day out. Dogs finally have a space outside home where they can relax and rejuvenate. The park has been equipped with dog training equipment, play equipment areas of exercise, splash pool, fountain, amphitheatre, Lawns separate kennels for big and small dogs and even a clinic.
This park is developed as per the International Standards for dogs and dog parents and also certified by Kennel club of India and it is one of its kind in the Country and other cities should also take a cue from this and give dogs there much need a recreational space. Depending on the success of this park the GHMC has plans to put up one more park in Eastern part of the city said the Chief Secretary.
The Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, MA&UD said that the three Theme parks are very unique with regard to harvesting park the citizen can know the importance of the harvesting theme park that how to attract rains, how to save the water etc., where different models have been displayed. The main aim of the project is to create awareness to every school children to know the benefits of the rain harvesting pits where the students can visit to know the importance of the rain harvesting.
Similarly the Panchatanthra Park is for school children where the students can hear the audio version of the stories and can feel the moral of the story in the park. The dog park is first of its kind in the Country the dogs along with the owners can come to the park and feel better in the open space they can relax and enjoy which brings lot of satisfaction in the open space said the Principal Secretary.
Ms. Hari Chandana, Zonal Commissioner has explained the entire details of the park and she is a dog lover himself and said that she had similar dog parks in abroad and thought of providing such type of parks with International Standards in GHMC. She also said that there has been lot of representations from the public about dogs being not allowed in general public keeping in view of the facts this dog park has been opened said the ZC.
