Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime Police CCS Hyderabad arrested five Nigerians accused persons and two Indian accused persons in the last two weeks in connection with the cyber crime cases in Delhi.
The cyber crime police arrested Nigerians accused persons Nasoki Amos Williams and Ibrahim Iduh and Indian accused persons Paras Grovar and Karan Kumar Jha, both are the residents of New Delhi on Wednesday for cheating people by falsely promising to provide the cancer medicine.
The complainant find the list of the accused company listed in Indiamart.com web portal and the accused persons listed a fake company named JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd on Indiamart.com, as the victim friend urgently needed a particular cancer medicine and the medicine is very expensive, the victim visited Indiamart.com and found the contact number of the JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd organized by Nigerians who are supplying particular cancer medicine and contacted its representative Marcus Garret, who assured to send the medicine in Delhi if 30 percent of the Medicine cost is paid in advanced. The victim ordered 20 bottles and the price of the bottle is around Rs.40,000/- each.
The accused persons assured that once they receives advance payment they would dispatch the medicine through flight and ask the victim to collect the medicine in Delhi, on believing the accused, the victim deposited around Rs. 4.5 lakhs and he went to Delhi to receive the cancer medicine but could not find anyone there and they even not reachable on the phone.
The victim lodge a complaint with cyber crime police in Hyderabad and the police after registered a case went to Delhi along with technical evidence and arrested the accused persons.
The cyber crime police in other incidents arrested two Nigerians nationals for Matrimony and other in Gift Fraud.
The cyber crime police also verifying that some unreported cases based on the seized Laptop and mobile Phones data of the accused persons and further investigation is going-on, DCP CCS Avinash Mohanthy Said.
