Hyderabad: The Police Arrested Two Persons and Seized 16 Kgs Ganja from their possession on Thursday, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team, Hyderabad in a joint operation with Mangalhat Police arrested two accused persons who were indulged in possession of “Ganja” a Narcotic substance near Doodh Khana, Mangalhat, Hyderabad and seized 16 Kgs Ganja and 1 Cell phones from their possession.
The arrested accused persons are Jagandara Raja Rao @ Prasad 26-year-old resident of Vishakapatnam and J.Laxmi @ Bhavani 23-year-old Vishakapatnam.
The accused persons Jagandara Raja Rao @ Prasad and Laxmi @ Bhavani were eking their livelihood by doing agriculture work at their native place. By doing agriculture work he did not get sufficient money for his family expenses. While doing agriculture work he observed that his surrounding small villages are cultivating the Ganja and they were kept in their houses. Whenever needy customers asked for Ganja they used to sell Ganja on higher rates, As such he hatched a plan to sell the Ganja to the needy customers on higher rates in Hyderabad to get easy money. His friend Beemanna resident of Vishakapatnam informed him to sell Ganja in Hyderabad on higher rates to get easy money and given one phone number of one Jyothi Resident of Begum Bazaar, Hyderabad. On which the accused Jagandara Raja Rao @ Prasad along with Laxmi @ Bhavani came to Hyderabad and sold 5 KGs Ganja to Jyothi and Ballu Singh for Rs.3000/- per 1 Kg and they used to purchase Ganja Rs.1000/- per kg from unknown tribal’s and used to supply the same to Jyothi, for Rs.3000/- per Kg.
The accused persons Jagandara Raja Rao @ Prasad and Laxmi @ Bhavani came to Hyderabad along with 16 Kg Ganja and while they were waiting near Doodh Khana, Mangalhat, Hyderabad to hand over the same to the accused persons Jyothi and Ballu Singh, the Police came and arrested the accused persons Jagandara Raja Rao @ Prasad and Laxmi @ Bhavani and seized 16 Kg Ganja.
The Mangalhat Police registered a case and sends the accused person to judicial custody and further investigation is going-on, Police Said.
