The Veteran actor, Malayalam superstar Mammootty completed 399 films in his career. The actor is plan for his 400 film which will be launching on 7th September, which marks his birthday and the film will be announced officially. The film will be directed by the famous Malayalam director Amal Neerad. His son Dulquer Salman will play a key role in the film. The film will be sequel for one of his past super hit movies. The movie will plan to release in all the South Indian languages. He has well known in Telugu audience with the movies like ‘Swati Kiranam’ and ‘Dalapathi’ in the past.
Mammootty (65) is an Indian film actor and producer and he is best known for his works in Malayalam cinema. He was a lawyer by profession and after starting himself as an actor in 1980’s, he got a commercial success for the film New Delhi (1987). He has won 3 National Film Awards for Best Actor, 7 Kerala State Film Awards, and 13 Filmfare Awards in South. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for his contributions towards the arts in 1998. He is the chairman of Malayalam Communications, which runs the Malayalam Television channels Kairali TV, People TV and WE TV and also he is the goodwill ambassador of the Akshaya project, this is the first district-wide e-literacy project in India. He was started his career in ‘Anubhavangal Paalichakal’, the film was directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan in 1971. His first release movie ‘Vilkkanundu Swapnangal’, directed by Azad in 1980. Mammootty’s first starring role in a released film was ‘Mela’ in 1980.
