Nizamabad: The Principal Assaulted for wearing shoes while hoisting national flag by the Hindutva activists, RSS and ABVP workers, the Muslim Principal Mohd Yakeenuddin of a Government Junior college.
The unlawful activist ask the Principle to remove the shoes while hosting flag on the Independence Day and he waited and replied that there is no such rules and at the same time, people available their request the principle to proceed, then the principle hosted the flag.
The unlawful activist intentionally dragged out the Principal Yakeenuddin to the road and started shouting anti slogans, (Principal down down” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai), the Cooperative Society Chairman tried to intervene between them to resolve the issue but the unlawful activists refused to listen to him and the unlawful protest continued for about an hour. The unlawful activity demanded the suspension of the Principal.
It may be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the flag at Red Fort by wearing the shoes and the BJP President Amit Shah also hoisted the flag at BJP party office wearing the shoes and there is no such rule to remove the shoes while hoisting the National flag. It was only an alleged reason to humiliate a Muslim Principal.
That, After the video of the incident became viral on social media, the MBT, CPI, CPM, delegations of Jamat-e-Islami, Jamiat-ul-Ulema, Minorities Cell of Congress, and the members of other parties made protests and also present memorandum to the District Collector, A mass rally was marched from Nehru Park to Collectorate and presented the protest petition and also press conference was held at the Press Club to protest against the assault by unlawful activists.
The Principle Yakeenuddin lodged a police complaint at Nandipet Police Station alleging that ABVP activists dragged him out by holding the collar of his shirt and forced him to say (Jai Sri Ram). The Police registered a case under section 290-IPC, 332-IPC and 153 (A) of IPC, the AIMIM, MBT leader Amjadullah Khan sent a letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and stated in his letter that during the incident, police and the staff of the college stay silent as viewers.
It was noted that the principle Yakeenuddin was associated with Teacher’s Union and recently he was transferred from Kamareddy Junior College. The principle was very popular among the students and on his transfer; a model of “Kaaba” was presented to him by the Hindu students.
