New Delhi: Twenty Three people dead and at least 200 were injured in a rail due to wreck of rail track, 13 coaches of the Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express running towards at Khatauli near Muzzafarnagar in western Uttar Pradesh was severely damaged on Saturday evening, The railways announced a compensation of Rs. 3.5 lakh for the family of those lost their life’s and Rs. 50,000 for those seriously injured,
That after the incident, four railway officers has been suspended and the chief track-engineer of Northern Railways has been shifted and the three other officers have been sent on leave.
