New Delhi: The Four Union Ministers were promoted to the rank of Cabinet on Sunday and President Ramnath Kovind took oath of nine new ministers.
All nine ministers are members of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
After taking oath in the form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, rejig third position in the Union Cabinet since 2014.
Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Power Minister Piyush Goyal, Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Nirmala Sitharaman and State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi took the oath and promoted to the cabinet rank.
Promotion of Naqvi, Pradhan, Sitharaman and Goyal, who was the Minister of State of the Independent Charge, was supported by his good performance.
Other seven candidates who were included in Narendra Modi’s cabinet include Uttar Kannada MP Anantkumar Hegde, former Home Secretary and Arrah MP RK Singh, Jodhpur MP Gajendra Singh, former Mumbai Police Commissioner and Bagpat Singh MP Satyapal Singh, Rajya Sabha MP from UP Shiva Pratap Shukla, Buxar MP Ashwini Chaube and Tikamgarh MP Virendra Kumar.
