The Rohingya more than 2,600 homes have been burnt in Rohingya -majority areas of north-western parts of Myanmar last week, the government said on Saturday that one of the deadliest incidents of violence related to Muslim minority in decades.

According to various agencies, the estimated number is 58,600 (up to today) and going up, UNHCR spokesman said.
Myanmar officials blamed Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army for burning houses. The group had taken responsibility for coordinated attacks on security posts last week, due to which there was a problem of conflict and counter attack of a large army, But Rohingya, fleeing from Bangladesh, said that the aim of the campaign of arson and killings by the Myanmar army is to try them out.
In the meantime, Rohingya Muslim refugees offered Eid prayers on Saturday in Bangladesh, many of them arrived recently.
