Barmer: The Nirmala Sitharaman after taking as a charge of Defence Minister went on her duty to bring the actual facts which are going around the Defence forces, she visited the Uttarlai Air Force base and stated the CAG report that the Defence forces had shells that could last for 20 days in the event of a war, as “factually wrong”, she asserted there was no dearth of weapons with the defence forces, Facts were wrong and it was unnecessary to argue on the issue, After being in charge of the Ministry of Defense, I have discussed this issue with senior officials and experts, purchasing arms is a continuous process
Parliament has already got the CAG report, which was tabled, had stated that the defence forces had missiles that could last for 20 days in the event of a war, instead of the minimum requirement of 40 days, It criticized the state-run Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) for inadequate quantity of missiles supplied to the Army since March 2013, Ms Sitharaman taken it in to the parliament notice, finance Minister Arun Jaitely had told Parliament that the reports of the CAG has been taken in to consideration, Which talked about the lack of ammunition related to a particular point, “After this important process has been made, this is a continuous process, therefore, no one is doubt of the availability of equipment or the preparations of our forces There should be no suspicion.
