Etawah: Two teenage girls, who had gone missing along with another classmate on Monday, were going to a school in Kanpur Dehat of Uttar Pradesh, two days later, about 130 kilometers away in the Etawah Valley, were found dead. This is considered a case of sexual harassment and murder. Third Girl – Three students of class 11 – are still missing, the bodies were found floating in a river of Saharan area and the locals told the police.
The Initial medical examination on one of the body has indicated that the girl was hit with a blunt object on the right side of her head. Police said that if the girls are kept for sexual harassment, then more tests are being done on bodies to identify it, We will get more information after the post-mortem on the other girls, one of the girls has hit the mark on his face, perhaps due to an attack or an animal, we are investigating, will share details soon, a police officer said
The police are also trying to ascertain how the girls reached the Etawah district, about 130 km away from Kanpur District, from which the girls were abducted.
The parents of both girls have identified the body. The family alleges that the policemen in Kanpur district did not help them when the girls did not return back on Monday. According to police, family, parents asked themselves to seek girls.
“The girl had left school at 11 o’clock, when she did not return at 1.30 pm, the police was contacted in the evening, but she said that if you are looking for the girl for two to three days on her own, then we will see.” Father of one of the girls
On Wednesday evening, angry villagers protested at the police station. Kanpur Dehat Police has registered a case of kidnapping and murder against unknown people on the complaint by the parents of girls.
