Chandigarh: The Haryana Police said on Tuesday that the adoptive daughter of the Dera Sacha Sauda chief, Honeypreet insane has been allegedly booked on charges of inciting violence after the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The Honeypreet has been booked at Sector 5 police station of Panchkula, In connection with the violence in Panchkula on August 25, the police added her name in FIR No. 345. She is now accused in the case, Panchkula Police Commissioner A S Chawla said.
The Police said that Honeypreet name has been included in the same FIR, in which other Dera activists Aditya and Surinder Dhiman have been accused of allegedly instigating violence and arson, Our efforts are on to nab the accused Honeypreet, Haryana DGP B S Sandhu said today.
When asked about the reports, Honeypreet is in Nepal, the DGP said that there is no concrete information in this regard. We are investigating every information that we are getting, many teams have been dispatched to different places and Haryana Police was also looking for Honeypreet with police of other states.
The Haryana Police is questioning the arrested Dera activists, including Dilawar Insan and Pradeep Goyal to get concrete information about her place of hiding.
The Dera chief member Dilawar Insan was arrested from Sonipat, while Pradeep, the caretaker of another Dera, was arrested by Haryana Police from Udaipur in Rajasthan.
On Monday, the Special Investigation Team of Haryana Police had questioned Vipassana Insan, spokesperson of Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa about the Honeypreet. After being convicted of rape with two disciples, after the interrogation of an arrested activist Surinder Dhiman in connection with the alleged conspiracy to solve the escape of the Dera chief, the police started efforts to locate Honeypreet.
A newspaper reporter had lodged an FIR in Panchkula Police Station after a statement against Aditya and Surinder Dhiman. Both were booked for treason. The police also said that they needed to question Honeypreet on the basis of any other disclosures of Surinder. The police have already issued a notice against Honeypreet and Aditya Insan.
The Honeypreet was with Ram Rahim when he was taken by helicopter to Sunaria jail through Rohtak on August 25 in connection with the rape. After that she was hiding. After the Dera chief’s punishment, the incidents of violence in Panchkula were broken, in which 35 were dead, while six others were killed in the incidents in Sirsa.
