Mumbai: In a Tragic Incident, A six-year-old child died during the holidays in a school in suburban Powai on Thursday, the police said. The cause of death was not known yet.
The police said that the boy, a student of class I, suddenly fell into the corridor on the second floor of the Powar Public School on Thursday morning, when he and some other boys were playing during the vacation, police said.
Senior inspector of Sakinaka police said that he was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. According to deceased parents, the boy was not suffering from any disease. After the autopsy report becomes available, the reason for the death will be known, the Police official said.
Deputy Commissioner (Zone 10) ND Reddy and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjay Patil visited the school after the incident.
The Police gone through the CCTV footage and spoke to school staff, another police officer said.
