The Former Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi was sworn in as the next Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on Monday morning. During a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Ramnath Kovind administered the oath to Mehrishi. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu were present. The 62-year-old Rajiv Mehrishi is a 1978 batch (retired) IAS officer Shashi Kant Sharma will be in charge of the post. Sharma has retired from the post today.
