Hyderabad: The Hon’ble Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that 23.80 lakh sheep have been distributed among the Golla-Kuruma communities so far in the state. For all those who used to make fun and send 8 million sheep to the program, so far the sheep should answer correctly, the Chief Minister said. The Chief Minister gave a comment to a batch of representatives from all over the country, which had come to attend the All India Kuruma Conference. The delegation met the Chief Minister in Pragati Bhavan here on Monday. The delegates congratulated the Chief Minister for implementing an innovative sheep distribution scheme for the welfare and development of Golla Kuruma communities.

The delegation expressed happiness and congratulated the Chief Minister for launching several programs and schemes for the upliftment of their communities and other backward classes and to support their causes. He said that these plans and programs are very innovative and great. On this occasion, the Chief Minister explained to them various programs, especially for the development, welfare of BC, programs started by the state government and especially Golla Kurumas. The Chief Minister said that he has been in public life for 40 years and Telangana leads the movement of the state and therefore he will know why people really are in need. If good works for the people, it will be of great benefit, but not only words, but only through strong actions. He said that he has the clarity what people want and they need. During the Telangana state movement, the Chief Minister said that he spent hours with national leaders of all political parties in which he had told why the separate state of Telangana was necessary. After the tireless struggle of 14 years, the state of Telangana has been received and what deep study has he done with the people, the Chief Minister said. He said that during different state agitations, it was necessary to study about Telangana and what should be done by the state, the study continued even after coming to power. Under the joint Andhra Pradesh rule, nothing was done in this area or there was no problem. With the natural resources provided by Mother Nature, there is nothing that cannot be produced and opportunities should be used properly by both national and state.
Describing the sheep distribution scheme, the Chief Minister said that the Yadav community is in the number of crores in the country but still we are importing meat. He said in the state of Telangana, about 35 to 40 Lakh people belong to the Yadav community and their profession is followed by sheep. But still the state is loading 650 trucks of meat and alone, 35 p truck loads in Hyderabad city are being imported on a daily basis, which is shameful. An intensive study and study is done to curb this import of meat and as a result, a plan of Rs 4,500 crore is made. Under the scheme, it has been decided to distribute 84 lakh sheep in the state in the next two years. So far, 23.80 lakh sheep were distributed as part of the program. He said that the government has resolved to tap and develop human resources of Golla Kuruma communities. The Chief Minister said those two years later, in Hyderabad, the All India Sheppard Community Conference will be organized and by then the Telangana Shepherd community will become the richest community.
The Chief Minister said that last time nobody has ever understood the problems of farmers and therefore he said for the first time, a step has been initiated for organizing farmers through Farmers Seva Samithies. From next year, farmers will be given Rs.8000 per acre as input subsidy. If farmers, Sheppard communities, milk producers become financially strong, then the slow economy will be strengthened.
In this context, the Chief Minister announced 10 acres of land and 10 crore rupees for the construction of the Golla Kuruma hostel. For all those BC candidates who cannot win directly from the election, they can be included in the Legislative Council. The Chief Minister had lunch with the delegation in Pragati Bhawan.
