Bundelkhand: In the BJP government led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Madhya Pradesh, the policemen arrested the farmers who protested and strip down to their underwear and beat them for hours within the police station.
On Tuesday afternoon, in Tikamgarh district of Bundelkhand in Madhya Pradesh, thousands of farmers gathered in front of the collector to hand over a memorandum of their demands.
The district collector did not bother to meet the farmers nor resist the opposition after obtaining their list of demands. The police use tear gas, water cannons and batons. That more than twenty farmers were injured in the protest.
The tear gas did not end with the use of the gas shell, the police allegedly detained a group of farmers, beat them and forcibly took them away in an underwear while a police holding them in the police station.
That, earlier too, reports that the police brutalities on the innocent farmers made the headlines. In the month of June, at least five farmers had been killed in the police firing during the farmer protests.
