Patna: The Income Tax Department has reportedly attached assets worth Rs 10 Crore from Lalu Prasad Yadav’s wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi.
The Sources said that the IT department had already charged Lalu Yadav’s family under the (Anonymous) Benami Transaction Act and attached assets worth Rs 1,000 Crore and added at least three properties with Rabri Devi and daughter Hema Yadav.
The Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi released a statement on Saturday and confirmed that the Benami property of Rabri Devi and his daughter Hema Yadav was attached by the Income Tax Department.
“The income tax department has started the action against Lalu Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi, a cowshed worker Lalan Chaudhary and railway helper Hridaynath Chaudhary had given their land to Rabri Devi and daughter Hema Yadav in 2014,” the Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said.
Modi had earlier alleged that Hema Yadav, daughter of Lalu Yadav is the immediate beneficiary of the Plot.
