Hyderabad: The Rohingya Muslim couple attacked in Balapur area, after the attack Balapure police became alert and brought the situation under control.
According to the statement, Maulana Zahid Hussain (32) and his wife Khadia Begum (28) were attacked with sharp weapons. They are in serious condition at Osmania General Hospital.
The Balapur Police Sub-Inspector Sudhakar said that for the last four years, the couple has been living in Rohangya refugee located at Balapur. In the early hours, a group assailant of 5-7 people attacked them.
Initial investigation revealed that the attackers were speaking in Burma language. The police suspect that this is a matter of internal hostility. The police are investigating further.
