Bengaluru: The Karnataka Police issued sketches of suspected assassins and sought “public help” a month after the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh outside her home in the liberal area of Bangalore. Special Investigation Team, who is investigating the murder, has also released a video of the Suspects received from CCTV during the investigation.
According to the police, photos were prepared using the footage enhanced by CCTV cameras at Ms Lankesh’s home that captured the incident as well as the shooting. There are accounts of those eyewitnesses who have said that they had seen the suspects in this area about seven days before the crime.
The investigating officer said, Two male suspects have been identified and sketches have been prepared based on information from our technical team and local people,” the investigating officer said that on the basis of various templates, three sketches are prepared for two suspects based on a different account.
Claiming that the suspects had confirmed the house and the area of Ms. Lankesh in the city and seven days before the murder, the officer said, “We request the public to help us in finding the accused persons or their hideouts in the city, the whole state or country Help find their places. “
