Jhajjar: A Class, 12 Student of Hardayal Public School in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, allegedly hit his teacher with a sickle for scolding him to score low marks in mathematics.
The Police said that the 17-year-old student allegedly hit the teacher, Ravinder, at least ten times, while he was examining the papers in an empty class and the whole incident was caught on CCTV camera.
The CCTV footage shows that the student takes out an item from his bag before hitting the teacher. The Victim Ravindra tried to escape, but could not.
The teacher faced many injuries on his head; Police said.
After the student earned the lowest marks in mathematics, Ravinder had warned him that he would reveal his points to his parents in a parent-teacher meeting on Friday. From fear, the student allegedly attacked his teacher, the police said.
Anuradha, the principal of the school, said that Ravinder was sitting in class around 7 in the morning when the student attacked him. The student was trying to flee, but the teachers caught him and handed him over to the police, she said.
The victim was taken to nearby Brahmashkti Sanjeevani Hospital, where he is fighting for his life. Mr. Garg said that the police have detained the attacker and his friend. The student’s friend was arrested for supplying weapons. The Accused student has been charged with attempt to murder.
