Baghpat: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by five persons, four months ago and Accused Persons threatened her last month has ended her life, police said on Sunday.
The police initially claimed that it is a case of suicide, later arrested five accused persons and started an investigation. Four months ago, on the complaint of the girl’s family that the girl was gang raped, a case was registered and five persons were arrested. But a police official said on condition of anonymity that due to pressure from their family, they were allegedly left out.
The SP has suspended the in-charge of the concerned police station in charge of carelessness of duty. The SP said on Sunday, The Accused persons Sonu, Monu, Rohit, Sagar and Pappu have been arrested, The Ramala Police Station in-charge Sharad Tillara has been suspended and necessary departmental proceedings have been initiated against him.”
According to the complaint of the girl’s mother, four months ago, she was abducted by five persons. Five days later, the girl was found unconscious outside Ramla Police Station, the police said.
When she got the consciousness, the girl said that five persons kidnapped her, locked her in a room and raped her. On 13th September, the same persons threatened to rape her, she told his mother about it, but before she could contact the police, the girl ended her life by hanging herself, the police said. The deceased girl’s funeral took place on Saturday.
The SP said, “The old case is being investigated. On what basis they were released and the final report will be presented.”
