Hyderabad: The New View Point with Watch Tower in Nagarjunsagar, To facilitate monitoring of wildlife activities like movement of animals, detection of first fires , protection of resources etc, a watch tower and view point were started at the Nellikal Forest block on Saturday by Field Director Amrabad Tiger Reserve, M C Pargaien Located at a distance of 5 km from Nagarjunsagar at an elevation of 1050 feet above sea level this view point also provides the excellent panoramic view of Nagarjunsagar and adjoining forests and being proposed as Eco tourism location for visitors coming to Nagarjunsagar. The route from the main road after covering 2.50 km Jeep-able road is being developed as a walking track (200. Met) with basic visitor amenities. Once completed this location is going to attract many tourists travelling to Nagarjunsagar to provide them excellent opportunities for enjoying the natural beauty.
