Kozhikode: The Police arrested a 33-year-old person on Sexual Harassment Charges on Sunday, after a video of this incident was roaming around the Internet, in which a woman in a deserted lane in Kozhikode was allegedly sexual harassed.
The Police said that Jamsher was arrested after searching on the basis of scenes of incident on the afternoon of 18 October. The Police added that the accused was arrested under IPC sections for sexual harassment, assault or criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe and stalking.
In the footage of a CCTV camera installed in the residential area, a Person incited the woman and accused him of assaulting her in a narrow lane. After a while, the man was seen to escape from the spot and the victim was seen to follow him.
After broadcasting the video on social media, the police filed a case and arrested Jamsher after the investigation. The woman was sent for medical check-up, police said.
