Hyderabad: The Government of India is organizing of Paryatan Parv scheduled from 5th to 25th October, 2017 which is basically a celebration of tourism and it will be about bringing tourism at the centre stage in those 21 days. That, the campaign will revolve around the elements like tourism for all, which means not just for international tourists but also people within the country, making tourism every body’s business, and not just confining it to hotels and tour operators.
• Illumination in and around the ionic Sites.
• Cultural Programmes of Dance, Music, Theatre, Story Telling
• Excursion Trips for School Children to Tourist Destinations.
• Quiz, Essay, Debate and Painting Competitions for Students.
• Sensitisation Programmes for Tourism Service Providers around the Sites.
• Tourism Exhibitions.
• Showcasing Culture, Cuisine and Handicrafts / Handlooms.
• Guided Heritage Walks.
• In addition to the events few public interactive activities such as community sensitization workshops on home stay and B&B opportunities are required to be conducted.
• Activities should include cultural programmes, heritage walks, painting / debates competition, few on the spot competition etc.
Further, as a part of Paryatan parv Celebrations Department of Tourism, Govt of Telangana & Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. Celebrated the “KEBAB FESTIVAL” today i.e., 22nd October, 2017 at Charminar along with Cultural Programmes of Kathak, Perini Shiva Tandavam, & Qawwali by warsi brothers.
In this connection, B. Venkatesham, IAS, Secretary to Tourism, Govt. of Telangana, Dr. Christina Z Chongthu, IAS, Managing Director, TSTDC, Medak Dist. Collector Ms. Bharati Holikeri, Shanker Reddy, Asst. Director, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India, GHMC Officials and others participated in this programme.
