Hyderabad: The TSTRANSCO has received the “Best Transmission Utility” award for the year 2017 given by the Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI). The Award was received on behalf of TSTRANSCO by G.Narsing Rao, Director (Projects & Grid Operation) at the “Regulators and Policy Makers Retreat” organised by IPPAI on 28.10.2017 at the Belgundi Village in Belagavi District of Karnataka.
The TS TRANSCO is providing un-interrupted, quality power by maintaining its network with over 99.95% availability, adopting State of the Art Maintenance Practices.
There are no Power Cuts to any category of consumers in the State since November, 2014 and 9 Hrs 3-Phase Power supply is being extended to Agriculture Consumers in the State from 01-04-2016 onwards.
That, with the improved Transmission & Distribution Networks, Peak Demand of 9500 MW was met on 13.09.2017 vis-à-vis the peak demand of around 5000 MW prevailing at the time of State formation. The highest energy requirement of 197 MU (Million Units) in a day has been met without any difficulty on 13.09.2017.
That the organization is ready to meet the forthcoming Yasangi agricultural demand coming with 24×7 power supply for all categories of consumers.
