New Delhi: In a shocking incident, an 18 Months-old girl was allegedly raped by a 33-year-old man in the presence of his two children, police said on November 2.
The incident happened on November 1 and the accused was arrested on November 2. The girl went to play in her neighbor’s house with his two children, a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter.
The victim girl had gone to her neighbour’s house to play with their two children, a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter. That, after the girl returned home, her mother found her bleeding from private parts and she was taken to a hospital where she was found to have been sexually exploited. After this, the police were informed about the incident. A case was registered against the accused under section 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault, punishable with a maximum term of life imprisonment).
The victim’s mother is a divorcee and stays at her parental home in an outer Delhi colony. The girl’s maternal grandfather works as a construction labourer, while her mother is a homemaker, said the official.

The Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal tweeted that she was going to meet the victim at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where she was admitted. She also said that how would he answer the questions of the child, whom she wanted to meet.
