A senior police officer said that the branch manager of a nationalized bank was arrested on Friday that the Accused raped a 20-year-old Russian woman repeatedly since the victim had come to India in the month of September after they forged a friendship on Facebook.
The Accused Mahendra Prasad Singh, manager of the UCO Bank’s Vrindaban Branch has been arrested on the basis of the complaint of a woman,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Shankar Mishra.
According to the FIR, she came in contact with Singh through Facebook in November 2016.
After they had a frequent conversation. On his advice, the victim came to India on 17th September and stayed in the temple town of Vrindaban in the city, according to the FIR. She alleged that she was taken to a house on September 22, where she was raped and her problem continued from then on. She said that the complaint was lodged because he was meeting another Russian woman who asked him to do so.
