New Delhi: The Six women were arrested for allegedly beating and tearing a woman’s cloth who helped the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW). The Police have detected an illegal liquor racket in Nerala, External Delhi, Police said.
The Rajneesh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) told that six people were arrested by the police. The police had registered the case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code against the accused women’s.
The DCW Chief Swati Maliwal had alleged that the woman had commissioned the sale of illegal liquor during an investigation in Narela area on Wednesday night, after which she attacked by the crowd of more than 25 people with an iron rod. The victim’s clothes were torn and she was paraded naked in the area and the whole incident was filmed and the video was allegedly shared by the criminals in the area.”
That the entire incident shows the completely fear of lawlessness and zero fear of the law in this area and it is shocking that the police did not take any action to protect these women, said Maliwal.
The police had said that the woman was not paraded naked, as Maliwal had alleged.
