Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team in joint operation with Begumpet Police busted fake education consultancy by name “Careers Gateway”, situated at Plot no.P4, Sapthagiry Towers, Begumpet, Secunderabad and nabbed one notorious fraudster Aragonda Aravind @ Gupta @ Setu @ Aravind Gupta @ AK Gupta @ Arjun Gupta who establishing fake educational consultancies repeatedly and cheating the innocent students & their parents with false promises of provide, B.Tech, MBBS, Agriculture, Veterinary Course admissions in the reputed colleges, through Management /NRI Quota. When the innocent candidates draw his version and shows their interest in procuring the admission in a reputed colleges, the accused person demands them to pay an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs to 30 lakhs, the capitation fees depend on the Course in reputed Colleges, thereby the accused by cheating huge amounts from victims. So far the accused has involved in 21 cases. The police Seized Rs. 5, 50, 0000/-, Computer systems-11, Printers-02, Broachers of Consultancy names Careers Gateway, Apexe, Noble & Global Educational Services, Rubber stamps-05, and other incriminating material from the instance above accused.
The Accused person Aragonda Aravind @ Gupta @ Setu @ Aravind Gupta @ AK Gupta @ Arjun Gupta S/o Aragonda Prakash @ Prakasham, age 38 yrs, Occ: Director of Careers Gateway , at Flat no.P4, Saptagiri Towers, Begumpet, Secunderabad, R/o. H.No.8-7-133/132, Ghori Nagar, Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad, N/o Kumar Basthi, Ditchpally (V & M), Nizambad Dist. The CAREERS GATEWAY, situated at Flat no.P8, Saptagiri Towers, Begumpet, Secunderabad (Present Educational Consultancy for the Eamcet-2017), APEXE, situated at Plot No:67, C-Qube Tower, 2nd Floor, Road No:9A, beside TV-5, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad ( Previous consultancy at Jubilee Hills for the TS& AP Eamset-2015), Nobel & Global Educational Services, at Flat 302, Imperial Plaza, Panjagutta, Hyd ( Previous consultancy at Panjagutta for the TS&AP Eamcet-2016).
The Police Seized Material from the accused possession: 1. Seized Rs. 5, 50,000/- (Five Lakhs fifty thousand rupees), 2. Computer systems -11, 3. Printer -02, 4. Visiting cards in the name of Careers Gateway-30, 5. Careers Gateway Broachers -200, Career Gateway letter pads – 500, 7. Career Gateway registration bio data application forms -800, 8. Career Gateway Envelops- 500, 9. Rubber stamps -05 & other incriminate materials.
The Brief facts of the cases: – 1. Cr.No.306/2017, U/s. 420, 406 IPC of Begumpet PS, On 16-10-017 the victim P.Dileep Kumar lodged a complaint at PS. Begumpet stating that he paid an amount of Rs. 6 Lakhs to the accused Aravind Gupta @ Arjun Gupta, Managing a business named Careers Gateway Pvt Ltd in Flat no. P8, Saptagiri Towers, Begumpet, for the purpose of booking Medical Course admission as the accused claimed to have blocked seats in Several Medical colleges, and he has cheated other victims by name 1). K. Narendar Reddy Rs. 2, 00,000/-, 2). R. Sunil Kumar Rs. 3, 00,000/- , 3). B. Aditya Rs. 4,00,000/- for the admission process total Cheated amount Rs. 15,00,000/- (Fifteen Lakhs), but he failed to provide admission nor return money in this manner the accused cheated several everyone.
2. Cr.No.342/2017, U/Sec. 406, 420 IPC of Begumpet PS, On 01-12-2017 the complainant/victim Bandaru Srinivasa Rao lodged a complaint at PS Begumpet, stating that while searching for his son’s Admission into B.V.Sc Course, he received a phone call from Careers Gateway consultancy and met with the accused, then promised to arrange B.V.Sc Admission under NRI Quota in Nagpur Veterinary College, at Nagpur, Maharashtra State and demanded Rs. 13, 50,000/- for getting admission in the college. As per his demand the complainant paid the amount in three installments, then the accused gave the fake admission letter, on inquiry it is found fake. The accused dishonestly cheated the amount from the complainant.
3. Cr.No. 168/2016, U/Sec. 406, 420 IPC & R/w. 156(3) Cr.PC of Kammarapally PS, Nizamabad, This is a Court referred Complaint: Facts of the case are that on 24-05-2013, the accused Aravind Gupta along with brother Koteswar Aragonda and their associate Veerender Narala are running Consultancy styled as “APEXE” at Bowenpally they contacted the complainant Linganna, and informed that they can provide MBBS Admission to the Complainant son at Maharashtra & Karnataka State and received an amount of Rs. 31,00,000/- in the various dates of the accused persons at Hasakothur Village, Kammarpally, Nizamabad. The accused persons deceived the complainant, with dishonest intention cheated the complainant.
The accused Aragonda Aravind is native of Kumar Basthi, Ditchpally (V & M), Nizambad Dist, presently residing at Old Bowenpally, Hyderabad. He studied up to M.Tech. After that, he worked as Asst. Professor in different Engineering College in and around Hyderabad. Later he started Tuition point for B. Tech students at Old Bowenpally. During the process, he gains knowledge about admissions of MBBS, Engineering admissions in various colleges on commission basis.
That, initially the accused collects the information about the students who are appearing TS/AP Eamcet from various Junior Colleges. Then he establishes the Consultancy office as his convenience and appoint employees, Tele callers as his staff and instruct them to call the students about the admissions in reputed colleges in India and abroad and also he is publishing ads in the newspaper about admission guidance to get admission in Management/ NRI Quota, used to identify the candidates, who are intending to get admissions of Engineering, MBBS, Veterinary Science in the reputed colleges.
The accused trap the victims and inform them that he has good contacts with the Management of reputed Colleges in India & Abroad. On the false promises of providing admissions, he maintains attractive Brochures, pamphlets etc with great look of the office atmosphere. When the innocent candidates draw his version and show their interest in procuring the seats, the accused demands them to pay huge amount, capitation fees for the various courses depend on the reputed Colleges.
For the year 2015 TS & AP Eamcet the accused opened fake consultancy by the name “APEXE” situated at Plot No:67, C-Qube Tower, 2nd Floor, Road No:9A, beside TV-5, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad and in the similar MO cheated huge amounts from several victims on the pretext of arranging Admissions in the Colleges. In this connection, in the year 2015 & 2016 (09) cases were registered against the accused in the Jubilee Hills PS later he was remanded to judicial custody. For the year 2016 TS & AP Eamcet the accused opened a fake Consultancy by the name “Nobel & Global Educational Services”, at Flat 302, Imperial Plaza, Panjagutta, Hyd and cheated several victims, in this connection (08) cases were registered against the accused Aragonda Aravind @ Gupta & (01) case at Khammam Rural PS. Later he was remanded to judicial custody.
This time for the year 2017 TS & AP Eamcet the accused opened an Education consultancy by name “Careers Gateway” situated at Flat no. P4, Saptagiri Towers, Begumpet, Secunderabad and in this similar MO cheated huge amounts from the victims. Based on the Complaint of Victims the SHO, Begumpet PS registered a case in Cr.No. 306/2017 & 342/2017, U/Sec. 406, 420 IPC of Begumpet PS against the cheater. In the similar MO a case was registered at Kammarapally PS, Nizamabad, vide Cr.No. 168/2016, U/Sec. 406, 420 IPC R/w. 156 (3) Cr.PC against the accused. After cheating huge amounts from victims, the accused change his phone numbers as well as shifts his consultancy to another area to avoid his identity to the victims. Since the offence the accused found absconding.
That, on credible information apprehended the accused and seized the above material and other incriminating material from the instance of above accused at fake education consultancy “Careers Gateway” situated at Begumpet. The accused along with the seized material being handed over to the SHO, Begumpet PS for further necessary legal action. Further investigation is on to find out the other victims who have been cheated by the accused, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force said.
