New Delhi: The Three staff members of Air India Airlines were suspended and a warning letter was issued to Air India Airlines pilot for reaching fifteen minutes late for their duty and the flight is delayed, in which Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju, along with the flight of about 125 passengers, had to face the heat of the agitated passengers.
The incident took place on Wednesday when Air India’s flight from Delhi to Vijaywada was delayed by fifteen minutes.
The Air India spokesman said, “Three officials have been suspended and a warning letter has been issued to the captain for delaying 15 minutes in reporting.”
After the delay, the passengers reached co-passenger Aviation Minister Raju, who was sitting in the business class section and was in the way of Vijaywada, asking him about the delay. The Minister immediately contacted the airline security and asked the reason for delayed.
Acting on this incident, The Air India CMD Pradeep Singh Kharola has called on Thursday to convene a meeting of senior officials, including director of operations and scheduling, airline sources said.
Sources said that Kharola has made a serious comment on this incident, which was mainly the result of coordination issues.
Regarding the incident, the airline spokesman said that CMD has taken strict action after confusion created and delays of flight.
