Hyderabad: The Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, MP Hyderabad All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has opposed the Triple Talaq Bill cleared by the Narendra Modi Cabinet, which makes Instant Triple Talaq Illegal and criminal offense.
The proposed bill is said to be a three-year jail sentence along with fine and says that the offense will be cognizable and non-bailable.
According to the proposed law, the victim of instant divorce can file a complaint with the police and go to the magistrate for the maintenance from her husband along with her young children.
As per this law Triple Talaq in any form, the written form or by electronic means such as email, WhatsApp or SMS will be banned.
