Hyderabad: The Christmas celebrations were ushered in at RajBhavan here on Wednesday with the singing of carols in praise of Jesus Christ.A Team of carol singers led by retired IAS officers Dr.DM de Rebello, Smt. Rachel Chatterjee and retired IPS Officer Smt. Aruna Bahuguna, sang carols, songs in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
While Speaking on the occasion, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan said that the officers and staff members always look forward to the carol singing event held at Raj Bhavan every year, as that marks the beginning of Christmas and New Year celebrations at Raj Bhavan. Officers and staff members and their family members participated in the event. On this occasion, Governor said that Jesus Christ taught the world peace, harmony and universal brotherhood to be followed by all. Governor complimented the carol singers for their gracious presence and for ushering in the festivities of Christmas and New Year with a lot of joy and cheer.
