Jaipur: In a surprise incident in the Jalore district of Rajasthan, a man had set on fire his two wives allegedly for not keeping his mother happy, the police said.
Police said that the incident took place yesterday when the accused Deepa Ram took her two wives – 25-year-old Daria Devi and 27-year-old Mali Devi in his car for the excuse of buying ornaments.
That, during the interrogation, accused Deepa Ram claimed that due to family affairs he was unhappy with her two wives and also because she did not please his mother, Additional Superintendent of Police Jalori Binja Ram said.
“There was a hot argument with them while driving, after which he stopped his car on the roadside, one of his wives asked them to get out of the vehicle Deepa Ram managed to get out of the car quickly and managed to push her back in the car and went away, Police Said. After driving for a while, they were taken to a different place. The accused locked the two wives inside the car and put the car on fire, both of the wives had died, Police Said.
The accused works as a laborer in Gujarat and is the father of three children. Police in Jalore district say that he has accepted his crime and he has been arrested.
