The Rachakonda Police celebrated Rachakonda SHE Teams 3rd anniversary celebrations and on this auspicious occasion we have initiated a SHE FOR HER-II programme also.
The SHE Team Rachakonda is taking up a new initiative called “SHE FOR HER” in the limits of Rachakonda to create a safer environment for girl students in the college too. Public places are already taken care by SHE teams by their decoy operation create a safer environment. But still the girl students from colleges are not coming forward to reach police when they are becoming victims of Eve-teasing. To overcome this, two senior girl students can be selected from each college and they will be undergoing the orientation training and empowered with awareness of Laws & Acts for Crime Against Women. Then they will be nominated as “SHE FOR HER” for the college, so that any girl from the college can approach police through this SHE FOR HER student will act as a bridge between police & students. They can help other students with the information of how they can reach the police.
This prestigious program is launched in the Rachakonda Commissionerate on 06-07-2017 at IICT Auditorium at Nacharam and has successfully been running in all colleges, IT firms and other offices in the Rachakonda Commissionerate.
So far, though SHE for HER volunteers there were 13 cases of women harassment have been reported.
At present, including new SHE for HER volunteers in the Commissionerate total 321 SHE for HER volunteers are supporting to the Rachakonda SHE TEAMS.
And the second training session to the SHE FOR HER students for 170 new SHE for HER girls, volunteers is conducted on 20.12.2017 at IICT Auditorium at Nacharam.
As well as on this occasion Rachakonda Police celebrated Rachakonda SHE Teams 3rd anniversary celebrations and on this auspicious occasion we have initiated a SHE FOR HER-II programme also. During the Last 03 years Rachakonda SHE Teams caught 1374 respondent eve teasers and booked 1217 cases. In this Minors 145 and Major 1229. And all are counselled with the professional counsellor.

UmaMaheswara Sharma, DCP , Malkajgiri Rachakonda, and Smt.Saleema-Addl.DCP I/C Sheteams, Rachakona, Sandeep, ACP malkajgiri , Vitaal Reddy, SHO Nacharam and Dr.S.Chandrashekar, Director of IICT, Dr.D.Shailaja, Sr,scientist IICT, Nacharam, Dr.Prathima, IICT scientist, Nacharam and professional counsellors Dr.Satyavathi (Bhumika Womens Collective), Dr.Vasavi Samyuktha Sunki. Chief Children Psychologist, and counselling members Krishna Kumari, Rajeshwarai, Ramya, Kaplana, and all She teams members of Rachakonda were attended the program.
