Hyderabad: The Charminar police busted cricket betting racket and apprehended Two bookies and Seven punters and other Nine Main bookies are Absconding for whom 2 teams were deployed by South zone Police and sent to Goa, Bangalore, Patna and Mumbai. The Two bookies arrested are identified as Rajgopal Bhattad resident of Begumbazar and Krishna bang resident of Attapur, The Seven Punters arrested by police are identified as Anand Kumar Agarwal, Ashwini Bangalore, Veerender Agarwal, Narayan das, Harshwardhan, Naveen Kumar and Prashanth Reddy. The Raid was held at the House of punter Veerender’s house at Tagarinaka, Chelapura under the Limits of Charminar Police Station. The Charminar police seized Two laptops, Nine mobile phones and Net Cash of Rs. 59,700/- from the possession of the accused members. The Accused persons today produced before a Hon’ble magistrate by the Charminar police. DCP South zone V. Satyanarayana IPS said.
