Cairo: The Ten people were killed and eight others were injured in a terrorist attack on a church in the capital of Egypt on Friday, the government said.
A Health Ministry spokesman said that the attack occurred when the gunmen on a motorbike opened fire outside the Mar Mina church in the Helwa area.
At least 10 people were killed in the firing outside the South Cairo church, he said, as a security officer, a gunman was shot dead.
The government-run MENA news agency said that other gunmen participated in this scene.
The Ministry said that out of the injured are women and 10 ambulances are employed to transfer the injured people to the hospital.
Egypt’s Coptic Christian minority has been targeted by Islamic terrorists in many attacks since last year, who have killed more than 100 people and several others injured.
