Anantapur: In a strange incident a minor girl B. Ramdevi, disguised as a man, got married three times and this was the third ‘wife’ who filed a complaint to the police in Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district and the matter came to light. Police said Ramdevi, who came from the Itikalapadu village in Kasinayana Mandal, worked in a private spinning mill in Tamil Nadu.
She was always dressed like a boy; she became friendly with the 17-year-old Maunika of Bheemagundam village in Peddamudiyam Mandal, who worked in a mill in Pulivendula.
That the Friendship turned into love and they were gettings married two months ago and It took Maunika two months to learn that she has married a girl; she told her parents who went to the Jammalamadugu police.
The Maunika told the police that Ramdevi, who worked as a boy, cheated her, who acted as a boy. Police discovered that Ramdevi had married twice before with the girls from Proddatur of Kadap district with girls of 16 years and 17 year old girls from the Kothacheruvu village in Mudigubba Mandal, Anantapur district. Police said that both the girls were sent for examination as their mental condition was not stable. The Jammalamadugu Police further investigating the matter.
