Hyderabad: In a case of negligence, a licensed weapon, owned by a reporter working for an Urdu channel was stolen by a 16-year-old boy in the city. The Saifabad police registered a theft case in Cr. No. 579/2017, Under section 379 IPC and recovered the weapon along with six live rounds.
The weapon holder Mohammed Nouman Omar, a resident of Moghalpura, is working for an Urdu news channel, 4 TV News channel as Crime Reporter. That the Nouman was returning to his residence in his Duster car and was carrying the .22 MMs licensed Revolver, At Masab Tank, he parked his car and got down and went to the hotel for dinner, leaving the .22 MM licensed Revolver along with six live rounds inside his Duster Car and After crossing Masab Tank area he noticed that his Revolver is missing then immediately lodged a complaint Saifabad police.
The Nouman stated in his complaint that the revolver was loaded with six bullets and was kept on the Dashboard of the Car, when he got down from his car.
The Saifabad police after registering the case, Police trace the accused boy and recovered the .22 MM Revolver along with six live rounds from his possession, Police said.
The DCP Task Force said that Nouman got the license from the Hussaini Alam Police station in the year 2016, further, he said that the police may register the A case under section 30 of the Arms Act against the weapon holder for negligence and also the police will verify and investigate the case and may cancel his License.
