Hyderabad: The Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Telangana, will inaugurate the Qurrah (Draw of Lots) for selection of Haj pilgrims for Haj 2018 at 11:00 AM on Thursday 11th, January 2018 at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad.
Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya MP, Mr. A.K. Khan, Advisor to Government for Minorities Welfare, Mr. Mohammed Saleem MLC Chairman TS Waqf Board, Mr. MS Prabhakar MLC, Mr. Jaffer Hussain Meraj MLA, and Mr. Dana Kishore Secretary to Government Minorities Welfare will be the Guests of Honour. MP, MLAs, MLCs and other dignitaries will attend the programme.
The Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee Prof. S. A. Shukoor said that the Haj Committee of India has allotted a quota of 4066 seats for Haj 2018, out of which 508 pilgrims have been selected under the reserve category of 70+ years. Qurrah will be held for remaining 3558 seats. Qurrah will be held district wise on the basis of Muslim population in those districts.
