Baghpat: The workers of the Hindu Yuva Vahini thrashed three persons in ‘Baghpat court premises’ on Sunday for allegedly ‘love jihad’.
The three persons accompanied by a woman had come from Punjab for a court marriage. That, on Knowing that the men were belongs to a different community, Hindu Yuva Vahini caught them in the lawyer’s room and thrashed them.
The Hindu Yuva Vahini, District Minister allegedly accused of ‘love jihad’ and said that they are going to register an FIR against men, while District Vice-President said on the charges that this matter was a link in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate of Durga Vahini alleged that the woman was brought to sell as a religion change. The police soon reached the spot and after rescuing the three from those who worked in anger, they took them in the jeep.
Four people were reportedly fleeing from Punjab and a case was registered against them in Barnala. However, Baghpat police avoided the matter to tag the case of ‘love jihad’.
The Jayprakash Singh, SP Bagpat said, whatever happened is very quick to comment, we are investigating the whole incident, everything should not be linked to love jihad. The Baghpat police have informed the Punjab police, and a police team will soon reach the city.
