The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi urged the Muslims to boycott ‘Padmaavat’ controversy Movie. While addressing a public gathering Mr. Owaisi urged the Muslims to boycott the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Movie ‘Padmaavat’.
That Narendra Modi had formed a 12-member committee to watch the controversy movie and to suggest the modifications in it. conversely, when the Triple Talaq law was being formulated, Mr Modi did not call anybody and just ordered to pass the law and Mr.Modi took so much effort for a “Manhoos” (inauspicious) and “Bakwaas” (nonsensical) movie.
The Supreme Court today rejected a petition, seeking urgent hearing on fresh public interest litigation (PIL) has been sought for cancellation of the censor board certificate given to the controversial Bollywood movie ‘Padmavat’.
The Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice M Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud also said that screening of the film could lead to serious threat to life, property and law and order, while Rejecting the immediate hearing on the new petition filed by advocate ML Sharma, the bench said It is not our job to maintain law and order. It is the work of the state.
This lawyer has demand for cancellation of the certificate granted by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to Deepika Padukone-actor Padmavat on various grounds including the provisions of the Cinematograph Act. The bench said, “We have passed a reasonable order yesterday.” The CBFC has once given the certificate; there is no scope for any interference.
That, On January 25, the Supreme Court paved the way for the release of the film ‘Padmavat’ across the country, after banning the screening of the film in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The court barred other states from issuing any such notification or order which was banning screening of the film. Based on the story of 13th century historical battle between Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh’s lead roles, Maharaja Ratan Singh, and Sultan of Delhi’s Allauddin Khilji and his army of Mewar.
The Haryana and Madhya Pradesh government did not issue any formal order but they said they will not allow the film’s exhibition.
In order to maintain law and order, the states were kept under constitutional obligation; the Supreme Court had said that this duty includes providing police protection to those people who are involved in the film, seeing its exhibition and the audience.
