Mumbai: The Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ is still working on his second Saturday at the box office after registering his impressive figures in his dream. The controversial period drama has collected Rs. 1955.50 crore.
The Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer make Rs 16 crore on the second Saturday, making the total collection at Rs 192.50 crore. However, the film is doing very well. The film will soon hit Rs 200 crore.
It was speculated that the film would be released in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh as the main opposition group had withdrawn its protest but it was a false alarm because the main Karani group is still against the film and it will show the exhibitors in the above mentioned states, the film is prohibited from issuing. The film Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film allegedly faces anger with several Fringe groups to distort history. Between the controversies, the film was released worldwide on 25th January.
