Hyderabad: The Tamilnadu Civil Supplies Department Officials conducting study on Innovative changes taken by Telangana government in Civil Supplies for curbing the illegal Ration rice transportation by using Information technology. Last month Tamilnadu Civil Supplies Managing Director Ms. M. Sudharani reviewed IT projects introduced in Telangana Civil Supplies Department.
The Tamilnadu Civil Supplies Department CID, Additional Director General of Police Dr. Prateep V. Philip, IPS visited Telangana Civil Supplies Bhavan on Wednesday and met Commissioner for Civil Supplies C.V. Anand. During his two days visit he reviewed the performance of Command Control Centre, T-Ration App, working of CC Cameras in Hyderabad Civil Supplies Corporation Godowns and ePoS Machine performance at a Fair Price Shop situated in Chintal Basti.
The Dr. Prateep said that, preventing illegal transportation of PDS rice by using technology, mainly Command Control Centre, ePoS machines in ration shops, surveillance check with CC cameras in Godowns, GPS machines to ration commodities transport vehicles etc., steps are very remarkable. With the help of T-Ration App even common man can view live transactions of the ration shops is excellent.
He said, in Tamilnadu upto 40% of ration rice is illegally trafficked to black market. The purpose of this visit is to study on the innovative steps implemented by Telangana Civil Supplies Department in putting breaks to the irregularities, and introduce in Tamilnadu state also Commissioner for Civil Supplies C.V. Anand said that Online Procurement Management System (OPMS) is introduced to purchase paddy directly from farmer and to pay him directly by depositing to his account through online. With the introduction of Command Control Centre and ePoS system to the large extent irregularities in ration is been prevented. Soon statewide in all Joint Collector Offices Command Control Centers will be established, which will be linked to the Command Control Centre in Hyderabad Head Office. In 171 Civil Supplies Corporation Godowns CC Cameras will be installed, which will be completed in coming two months.
