Hyderabad: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board on Sunday expelled Maulana Syed Salman Hussain Nadvi from Board members over his remark that Mosque can be shifted.
The All India Muslim Law Board reiterated its first stand on the issue of Babri Masjid and said that the mosque cannot be sold, gifted or transferred, the “Babri Masjid is an essential part of Islam’s faith and Muslims can never sacrifice the mosque nor can they exchange land for the mosque, gift mosque land. The Babri Masjid is a mosque and it is an eternal period until one mosque will remain. Identity, “the board said.
The struggle for the rebuilding of the Babri Masjid continues and the Supreme Court’s appeal is being fought strictly, the Board further said.
An executive member of AIMPLB, who met the founder of the Art of Living early this week, Mr. Sri Ravi Shankar, endorsed the construction of the Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya. He said that an alternative piece of land should be offered for constructing a mosque. He also said that a university can also be made at that place.
The AIMPLB had said on Saturday that there has been no change in the attitude of the Ayodhya issue because “once the mosque is constructed, till it will not be a mosque till eternity”, also said that Triple Talaq Bill which was pending in the Rajya Sabha was not acceptable as it was against the Constitution. “It is against the constitutional provisions given to the minorities.” It said.
