Hyderabad: The K.T. Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister for MA&UD appreciated V.Srinivas reddy for exhibiting Guinness book record event at Ramnagar of Hyderabad on Monday. He applauded V.Srinivas reddy for receiving High range book of world record and Universal book of record today. Previously the record was in the name of Vadodara Municipal Corporation of Gujarat as “Most people sweeping the floor with 5,058 persons on 28th May 2017. But today 15,324 persons participated in the same event. On this occasion K.T.Rama rao ,Minister for MA&UD appealed all the citizens, students, various NGOs, RWAs, to actively participate in the Swachh Survekshan 2018 and to get top rank in the event.
The Hon’ble Minister has participated in the Swachh Survekshan massive campaign conducted by V. Srinivas Reddy, Corporator, Ramnagar division and Standing Committee Member held at B.R. Ambedkar College at Bagh Lingampally today. The Hon’ble Minister while addressing the gathering said that the event was organized as a part of creating awareness on Swachh Survekshan programme in the city from Feb. 15 to 22nd, around 15,324 students from various educational institutions participated armed with broom sticks as an attempt step in a new record and to spread the message to keep the city clean and green.
The Hon’ble Minister said even before the Swachh Bharath initiative by the Government of India the Hon’ble CM, Govt., of Telangana has launched the Swachh Hyderabad initiative some years back to make the Hyderabad clean and green city. He also said that the GHMC is striving hard to improve the performance in Swachh Survekshan 2018. In 2017 Swachh Survekshan the Hyderabad was ranked 22nd position where 434 cities and first among the metro cities. Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Hon’ble Home Minister has appreciated for the initiative taken up by V.Srinivas Reddy, Corporator, Ramnagar division and expressed his satisfaction stating that large number of students participated in the campaign and made the event successful. Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC said that the GHMC is conducting different awareness programmes involving citizens in different initiatives and stated that this year 4041 cities are participating in the context of Swachh Survekshan 2018 where GHMC will have to compete with all the Municipalities and Municipal Corporations in the entire Country.
The Commissioner, GHMC appealed the students, citizens to dial 1969 and to give a missed call and help Hyderabad to bag on top position. He in turned informed the citizens that they will get a call back and they need to answer the questions correctly to be in the top position in Swachh Survekshan 2018.
The Srinivas Reddy, Corporator, Ramnagar division and Standing Committee Member thanked all the educational institution authorities for cooperating to make this programme successfully in a span of 4 days and also thanked all the officials of the GHMC for taking initiative to make the event effectively for creating awareness among the citizens. Md. Mahmood Ali, Hon’ble Deputy CM, Talasani Srinivas Yadav , Hon’ble Minister for Animal Husbandry, Vivek Advisor to Govt , Vinodh, Miss Reshmi Takoor, Miss planet –India, Ambassador for Pochampally Handlooms, Hon’ble Corporators, Public Representatives and Senior officials of various Govt., Heads of the Departments have participated in the programme.
