Hyderabad: The Government today notified four new industrial parks as industrial town ships to function as separate local authorities. They are at Madhapur, Ibrahimpatnam, Qutubullapur and Warangal. Similarly, IT parks in IT SEZ Nanakramguda and Gachibowli have also been notified as industrial townships. The Principal Secretary Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar issued orders to this effect today.
The Madhapur IALA comprises Hyderabad Knowledge City Raidurg, Miyapur, Quthubullapur IALA comprises Industrial parks at Gajularamaram, Ibrahimpatnam IALA comprises Kongarakolam, Composite manufacturing cluster at Ibrahimpatnam and Warangal IALA comprises IT park , Textile park Madikonda, and Kakatiya Textile park.
The TSIIC has been a facilitator in developing IT, ITES, SEZs in the state and has been taking up various infrastructure development activities like laying and maintenance of roads, lakes, drainages etc in the IALAs as well as in surrounding areas beyond IALAs. The vice chairman and managing director requested the government to declare certain industrial parks as industrial townships so that they can function as local authority for all practical purposes and they will be out of jurisdiction of municipalities/GHMC/Nagar Panchayats. The 35 percent of the revenue from these industrial town ships shall be shared with the concerned local bodies, according to the orders issued today.
