Hyderabad: The Telangana State Haj Committee has forwarded altogether 3586 International Passports to Haj Committee of India (HCI), Mumbai for Visa Processing, announced Mr. Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Chairman and Prof. Shukoor, Special Officer Telangana State Haj committee here today.
They said that a quota of 4066 was allotted to Telangana State, out of which 508 applicants were selected automatically under Reserve category of 70+ years and remaining pilgrims were selected through Qurrah (Draw of Lots).
That, Altogether 3586 passports were submitted in the office of State Haj Committee, while 141 NRI pilgrims will submit their passports later, while 67 selected pilgrims have cancelled their seat.
It may be mentioned that 17,130 applicants have applied for Haj 2018. February 12 was the last date for payment of first installment of Rs. 81,000/- per head for the selected Haj pilgrims.
