New Delhi: The Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram, who was arrested in the corruption case. He will be kept in CBI custody till March 6 and he will not be able to eat in any way of the home food, although he can keep the Gold chain.
The CBI had asked the 46-year-old businessman for two weeks custody, and said he was not cooperating with the investigation. The Karti Chidambaram was visited by his parents P Chidambaram and Nalini Chidambaram.
The Karti is expected to face other suspects in Delhi and other cities as the CBI questioned him. The Karti Chidambaram’s lawyer accused the CBI of tampering with evidence and trying to Prejudice the court.
The Karti Chidambaram is accused of getting government approval for foreign investment of around Rs. 300 crore in TV Company INX Media, In 2007 in enchange of bribe, Investigators say that he use the influence of his father P Chidambaram, who was then the finance minister.
The Kartik Chidambaram was arrested from Chennai airport on Wednesday, after a few moments he landed after a visit to the UK. Earlier this month, the Madras High Court allowed him to go abroad for business.
