Hyderabad: The sleuths of Chandrayangutta and Shahalibanda Police Stations Hyderabad apprehended three persons and seized unaccounted Gold ornaments (without any tax receipts) Wg. 15.239 KGs worth about Rs.5 Crores and two cell phones from their possession. The accused persons Vaishnav Manoj Kumar, Pradeep Agarwal, Yashaswi Agarwal. The Vaishnav Manoj Kumar and Pradeep Agarwal were employees at RAJARAM Jewels, Veer Hanuman Complex, Urdu Shareef Charkaman, Charminar, Hyderabad. Yashaswi Agarwal is the owner of Raja Ram Jewellers.
That on Monday in the Evening hours Yashaswi Agarwal owner RAJA RAM Jewels, handed over the Gold ornaments Wg. 15.239 Kilo grams (without any tax receipts) and valid records to Vaishnav Manoj Kumar and Pradeep Agarwal to sell the same in the familiar Jewelry Shops Joy Alukas in the Mysore and Malabar Joy Alukas in Bangalore. The Vaishnav Manoj Kumar and Pradeep Agarwal left along with Gold Ornaments to go to Mysore, in the meanwhile, when they reached near Aliyabad, the Shahalibanda police who was conducting vehicle checking at Aliyabad Road, tried to stop the Passenger Auto, but they did not stop and fled from there in rash driving, Immediately Shalibanda police passed the information to Chandrayangutta PS about the happened incident.
The Chandrayangutta police stopped the fast moving Auto at MBNR X Roads at about 10 PM in which there were two passengers were sitting inside, on enquiry, they refused to reveal their identity, on thoroughly checking the Auto found Gold ornaments in huge quantity, On questioning they revealed their identity, and confessed that they are going to sell these gold Ornaments to Jewels shops in Mysore and Bangalore. They are also failed to show the valid receipts of gold ornaments. The Police Chandrayangutta, South Zone seized 15.239 KGs of Gold ornaments. The Yashahwi Agarwal was also taken into custody from his house on the information of Vaishnav Manoj Kumar and Pradeep Agarwal.
The apprehended respondents along with seized property are being handed over to Income Tax department Hyderabad for Further action, Commissioner of Police said.
