Bhavnagar: In a Shocking incident, At-least 27 people were died when a truck fell into water channel in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. Most people were killed on Tuesday, The incident took place near Ranghola village on Bhavnagar-Rajkot highway, when about 60 people got interrupted for marriage, fell 20 feet in water channel. Among the deceased persons, the groom’s parents were included and two dozen other people moving towards the wedding party.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the loss of life due to the accident. “My feelings for those people lost their loved ones due to an accident near Rangholi in Gujarat. The accident was extremely unfortunate and painful. The people who have been injured have been cured as soon as possible,” said the Prime Minister.
A group of persons from the Aniyali village near Palitana was going to Tatam village for marriage, when this incident occurred. The rescue work was done mainly by the villagers of the Ranghola. Later on, the administration of Botad and the Sihor towns brought in the crane and even the Fire Brigade went away.
The Chief Minister Vijay Rupani’s Office (CMO) has ordered the district administration and the administration to provide information about the incident and the rescue operations.
