Bengaluru: In a Shocking Incident and Security Lapse, A man stabbed Karnataka Lokayukta or corruption ombudsman Justice, Justice P. Vishwanath Shetty on Wednesday afternoon, The Justice was stabbed thrice inside his office in Bengaluru.

The attacker, the native of Tumkur and works as a bus conductor, appeared before a Lokayukta before a complainant. After stabbing Justice Shetty (74) was bleeding on the floor. In a few seconds of the attack, police and security personnel, who were outside the Lokayukta’s office on the ground floor of the multi-storey building, also called MS Building, pinned Tejas down. They were taken to the Vidhan Soudha Police Station, while Justice Lokayukta was taken to Mallya Hospital for treatment.
According to an entry in the register of the Lokayukta’s office, the attacker recognized himself as an advocate. It has been found that the metal detector was inactive in the office, so that the attacker could get a knife in the locker room.
The Chief Minister said, “It seemed that it was an attempt to assassinate the Lokayukta, he had a big weapon in his hand and we are investigating that there is a security lapse, everything will be investigated about his background. The Vidhan Soudha police have registered a case and are investigating.
“The accused have been taken into police custody and questioning has been made, it has been found that the accused had complained against 15-17 government employees in connection with the supply of furniture, their charges were not proved, T. Suneel Kumar Sunil Commissioner police Bengaluru said.
The police commissioner said the attacker has taken this step due to the fact that he is complaining against these contractors and is still not giving tenders, and further investigation is underway.
